Miniature of Hieronymus Zane, shown seated in armour, with clerks paying soldiers behind him, and in the distance, galleys on a sea, with Zane’s arms on a banner in the upper right corner. Image taken from f. 12 of Giuramento (Commission and oath) of Girolomo (Hieronymus) Zane as Procurator de citra of Saint Mark, Venice. Written in Latin and Italian.
